Morning Hot Power Vinyasa

Carrie Mitchell

Carrie's first yoga class in 2012 was an "aha" moment. A runner for 30 years, she always found her solace inthe outdoors running with her dogs. Two knee surgeries limited what and how much she could run, and she knew she needed to find a compliment to her first love. Yoga has more than filled the void adding "that something" that had been elusive.

Carrie is a native Mainer who lives in Edgecomb with her husband, Bryan, and two chocolate labs, Mac and Buster. Her 23 career in athletic training and physical therapy is a strong compliment for beginning her yoga teaching career. Carrie is a graduate of Wicked Good Yoga's 200 hour yoga alliance approved course in power vinyasa flow. Carrie believes her background offers another perspective to yoga and hopes to bring athleticism and spirituality to a harmonious practice.

Emily Wallace

"Emily stumbled upon yoga in the chaotic transition from adolescence to adulthood.
Riddled with anxiety, self doubt, the tides of depression and the general demands of every day life, Emily found Yoga enabled her to peel away layers of the proverbial onion, drop the mask of illusion & step into trust, compassion, patience and joy.
For Emily Yoga came to be a sort of universal language in which she could communicate deeply with her self & others. Both on and off the mat. Moving away from a state of survival into a state of actively engaged living.
Emily teaches to come as you are, to be open to your own capacity to heal, awaken & enliven your true power. "

Melanie Burns

Melanie is a 500 Hour Certified Baptiste Teacher who owns and operates the Snow Squall Bed and Breakfast and Wicked Good Yoga in Wiscasset Maine, and runs Yoga Alliance Approved 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings and 40 Days programs in her studio. She has a BA in Psychology from Clark University and is a graduate of Tom Myers’s highly acclaimed Kinesis Myofascial Integration (KMI) program. Melanie offers structural integration sessions and leads workshops in yoga and myofascial release, combining her strong background in psychology and anatomy to bring awareness and awaken healing in long held patterns of physical, mental, and emotional tension and trauma, to lead people to experience more freedom to feel more of themselves in the space they are in. 
This class includes Yoga Tune Up myofascial release and  sequences designed to awaken and bring awareness to body blind spots, building strength and flexibility in preparation for vinyasa, followed by a rigorous morning Baptiste hot power vinyasa practice. You will leave feeling invigorated and renewed, inspired and ready for your day.
